馬來西亞水產業尋求低利紓困貸款馬來西亞冷凍食品製造商聯盟(MFFPA)正積極尋求Agro銀行提供較低利率貸款,以協助受到水產品輸往歐盟禁令影響的會員紓困。MFFPA主席表示,銀行方面雖已釋出約1,420萬澎湖民宿美元援助MFFPA會員,然而所提出的7.5%利率卻遠高於現行專案優惠出口商的4.5%。歐盟自6月啟動禁令後,MFFPA旗下26家會員已蒙受10億馬幣的損失。馬國境內約有20萬個工作與水產業息息相關,其中約佔2成的酒店經紀北部,已有約1,000名員工遭到裁撤;影響所及,小從直接相關的去蝦殼工作,大到間接相關的運輸業。已準備好面對歐盟重新審核水產業的MFFPA會員,要求政府盡速擬訂歐盟食品安全與動物檢疫官來訪日程。(租房子摘譯自INFOFISH Trade News,17 Nov. 2008)SEAFOOD INDUSTRY SEEKS LOWER INTEREST RATE FOR LOANSThe Malaysian Frozen Food Processors’ Association (MFFPA) is negotiating with Agro Bank to 建築設計obtainloans at lower interest rate to help its members facing seafood export ban to the European Union (EU).MFFPA president Mr. Ch’ng Chin Hooi said the bank has allocated about RM 500 591million (US$ 14.2million) to help the association’s members, but the interest imposed is too high at 7.5% which is higherthan the current 4.5%, a special rate for exporters. He said 好房網the 26 MFFPA members have incurredabout RM 1 billion in losses since the ban in June, and some 1 000 workers in the seafood industry inthe northern region have been retrenched.There are 九份民宿about 200 000 jobs related to the seafood industry in the country, including workers directlyinvolved in the industry such as shrimp peelers and indirectly involved, such as those in 信用貸款thetransportation business. About 20% of the jobs are in the northern region.
